Nthabiseng Masike

Cluster Head of People & Culture — SA & CEA , Mondelēz International

Nthabiseng “Nthabi” Masike is a seasoned People and Culture executive with over 17 years of experience shaping human capital strategy across manufacturing, FMCG, and financial services in Sub-Saharan Africa. She currently serves as Cluster Head of People & Culture for South Africa and Central East Africa at Mondelēz International, where she partners with Managing Directors and senior leadership to translate business strategy into people priorities that drive sustainable growth across the continent.

Nthabi’s career is defined by a rare ability to bridge boardroom strategy with shop-floor reality. From leading complex organisational redesigns and labour relations in unionised manufacturing environments to championing diversity, inclusion, and employer brand — her work delivers measurable impact. Under her leadership, Mondelēz South Africa has maintained a top 10 spot in the Top Employer rankings, and her inclusion initiatives consistently outperformed engagement benchmarks by more than ten points over a four-year period.

Nthabi’s professional story is itself a compelling narrative of growth and reinvention. Starting as a receptionist at Sedibeng Brewery, she was recognised for her talent and fast-tracked into Human Resources. She has since held progressive HR leadership roles across some of Africa’s most respected organisations.
