Rekha Govender

Rekha Govender is a seasoned Human Resources executive with over 25 years of experience driving people strategy, organisational culture, leadership development, and employee engagement. As Head of Human Resources at Goscor (Pty) Ltd, she partners with leadership to build high-performing, people-centred organisations that align talent and culture with business success. 

Rekha’s career journey is one of resilience, growth, and continuous learning. Beginning her career as a Personal Assistant, she progressed through various roles and organisations, including Unilever, Edcon, and an 18.5-year tenure at Corobrik, before taking on her current executive leadership role at Goscor. 

Her expertise spans talent management, labour and employee relations, organisational development, change management, and leadership development. She holds qualifications in Human Resource Management, a BCom Honours in Business Management, and postgraduate qualifications in Labour Relations, Psychology and Counselling. She is currently completing the Executive Development Programme at Henley Business School.

Rekha is passionate about inclusive, people-centred leadership and believes that great organisations are built by developing great people.
